How to stop double-booking your bounce houses

Double bookings rarely happen because someone is careless. They happen because availability lives in three places: a spreadsheet, a calendar and somebody’s memory.

Why it keeps happening

Most tools book by day, not by unit and hour. Two castles become one line item, cleaning time disappears, and a quote that was never paid still blocks the calendar.

The rule: a unit is busy from setup start to event end, plus the cleaning buffer. Quotes hold nothing until the deposit is paid.

Track units, not products

If you own two Castle Bounce Houses, the system needs to know there are two, which one is out, and when each is back and clean.

Check at the moment of booking

The check has to happen when someone clicks Book, inside the same step that saves the order, so two people can’t book the last unit at the same second.

Set it up in Rent Hatch

Add your units, set a cleaning buffer in Rental rules, and every new order checks availability automatically. A third castle on a busy Saturday is simply refused.
